Governor Patrick, Secretary Davey, Congressman Capuano, Mayor Curtatone, and other state and local elected officials are holding a kickoff ceremony for construction of Phase I of Green Line extension. The shovels are going into the ground. The Green Line Extension is really happening!

The state and the MBTA “are doing everything possible to hit targeted dates” for the opening of the Green Line Extension in the face of deep MBTA financial issues, a Mass. Department of Transportation spokeswoman said.
