Hi Gang… lot going on since my last post. Later this week I will have a massive update, but, in the meantime I wanted to share the latest episode of the Progressive Voices TV program here at SCAT. Fred Berman and Bill Bumpus have as their guest: Harris Gruman to talk about Question one on the upcoming November Ballot. See the video below.

Either that or I am getting behind…not sure which. Fred Berman and Bill Bumpus have three more programs of interest to S’Villans. First: Disabilities with guest Eileen Feldman, 2′nd: The History and Community Importance of Community Television with guest Wendy Blom. Exec. Fred Berman and Bill Bumpus interviewed a student at Tufts University about the ongoing contract negotiations between the Janitors at Tufts and the subcontractor for the school. A special thank you to Fred Berman for hosting an episode of “Talking About Somerville”. This program is currently being shown on Somerville Community Access Television, Tuesday nights at 9pm. The program highlights the good works of non profit organizations throughout Somerville.

New technology at Somerville Community Access Television means better video and show playback for all our Somerville viewers. (snip) …another reason that Somerville Community Access Television (SCAT) has won nationwide awards and remains a leader in the New England access television marketplace.

Fred Berman and Bill Bumpus host a program called “Progressive Voices” on Somerville Community Access Television. I thought this might be a good program for folks to view if they want more info about the Green Line Expansion Project. Their guest is Ellen Reisner from STEP (Somerville Transportation Equity Partnership. She brings with her a lot of info about the project and its ramifications for our fine city.

The Youth Media program at Somerville Community Television is hosting a free screening of short films shot by the youth members of THE NEXT GENERATION PRODUCERS. This screening will be at 6pm Tuesday June 3, at the Somerville Theatre in Davis Square.
