A FOIA for
SHA 2012 Plan in Accessible Format + List of Accessible PBV units
was submitted on November 27, 2012 via MuckRock.
The first of the 2 items requested is an accessible version of the 2012 SHA Annual Plan, which is currently online in inaccessible format. This scanned .pdf format excludes people who use Screen readers to access this online information.
The second is a request for a list of accessible Project-Based Voucher (PBV) units under Somerville Housing Authority’s management. HUD’s most recent guidance on the Project-based Voucher Program was published in September, 2011 as Notice PIH 2011-54 (HA).
PBV projects must meet the program accessibility requirements of 24 CFR 983.102. PBV programs must also ensure that HUD’s and other Federal nondiscrimination and civil rights requirements are met.
SHA’s Annual Plan Public hearing is on December 12, as noted by SV Beat Reporter David Dahlbacka here: 12/12/12 Public Hearing on 2013 Somerville Housing Authority Annual Plan
When the response to this request is received, it will be cross- published on this blog. Per Public Records law, we expect this request to be fulfilled in time for the December 12 Hearing.
