Statewide Day of Action for Transit Justice
Tue. Jun. 12 12:30 PM
Massachusetts State House
Boston MA (map)
The Green Justice Coalition, Public Transit-Public Good Campaign, and other organizations are meeting to advocate against fare hikes and service cuts targeting our communities and to advocate for statewide investment in transportation infrastructure.
Fare hikes and service cuts hurt economically depressed areas first. Somerville will only get its transportation needs met if the legislature adequately funds the MBTA and other mass transit.
For more information, see MPO Transportation Improvement Plan Process.
