Texas leads the way!
Mass. Citizens for Public Schools, FairTest, and other groups are circulating a “National Resolution on High-Stakes Testing” modeled on a resolution passed by over 300 school boards in Texas.
It says, basically, We need good schools, and that’s not the same as schools obsessed with test scores.
It asks state and federal education officials to change the laws and regulations that force educators to substitute test prep for the broader education children will need as adults.
Please sign the resolution at http://timeoutfromtesting.org/nationalresolution/ and post it on your Facebook page.

As rules go, “Never use Texas as an education role-model” is a good one. #creationism
