One Response to “Meeting TONIGHT about mayor’s plan to close Davis Square library”

  1. Courtney O'Keefe says:

As most of you have already heard, an agreement was reached that prevents any current fiscal year layoffs and library closures.

With that said, however, the Mayor did elude to layoffs during last night’s discussion with the Finance Committee when budget conversations commence in June. Although not said specifically, the possibility of future library closures, in my opinion, may be an option for The City.

Please note that follow-up Finance Committee Meetings scheduled for January 30th and February 1st have been cancelled.
