October, 2011: The Somerville Community Corporation is organizing strategy sessions to get more affordable housing in Somerville by “strengthening our city’s inclusionary zoning ordinance.”
The Community Access Project has placed a FOI request to the City of Somerville Housing Department to gain a comprehensive overview of the locations and types of housing included within the City of Somerville’s Inclusionary Housing program; and managed through the Somerville Affordable Housing Trust Fund (SAHTF).
The FOI is titled, “Somerville’s Inclusionary Housing Units, 1991- present.” This request was sent on October 24, 2011 via MuckRock. It is available for review here:

The requested $92.50 payment for this Public Information request was sent by certified mail last week.
Then the City’s Special Projects, Housing Division Director, Kelly Donato, responded immediately with a fabulous spreadsheet.
Way to go, Kelly!
Summary: 3 categories, showing
57 Inclusionary unit locations,
11 SAHTF Housing Development locations, and
9 SAHTF Rental unit locations.
some notes: 8 SAHTF locations are duplicated under homeownership and rental categories. One item location is suppressed to ensure confidentiality for that special program.
