First place, $100, goes to Francesca Zimmerman for her post on the need to renovate the high school auditorium stage.
The Somerville Voices editors also picked two second-place winners, $50 each:
Cassandra Marsden for her post on the amazing story of the Somerville girls soccer team of 2008, and
Herby Lafortune for his video interviews of three talented SHS seniors.

Look what Superintendent Pierantozzi said about the auditorium recently (from Somerville Patch):
Renovated buildings, spruced up grounds
Pierantozzi said that over the summer, the city has been cleaning and renovating some of the older school buildings, as well as grooming their grounds.
For instance, the high school auditorium has a new stage, featuring a polished wooden floor and a wall of red brick and stone.
“A lot of effort has been made to improve our buildings to make them positive learning environments for students and positive working environments for staff,” he said.
