Calling all music lovers! Four Boston area musicians will be hosting a benefit concert for the Somerville Homeless Coalition, aptly-titled “An Evening of Music, Bach & Bolling.” The evening’s repertoire will feature classical pieces by baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach, and the music of contemporary French jazz-musician, Claude Bolling.
The concert will be held at Clarendon Hill Presbyterian Church, 155 Powder House Boulevard in Somerville. Event attendees are asked to consider a $20 suggested donation to the non-profit organization, which provides assistance to homeless and near-homeless individuals in Greater Boston through supportive services. All proceeds will go directly to SHC.
“We’re always grateful for the community support we receive but this concert couldn’t come at a better time,” said Mark-Alston Follansbee, Executive Director of SHC. “After a long, hard winter it will be joyful to listen to beautiful music and help the hungry and homeless.”
