Project STAR , Summer Theatre Arts Recreation, sponsored by the mayors’s office,the recreation Commission and the communications department presents Project STAR. A 6 week music and theater camp for kids ages 11 to 18. Last year we presented ” Back in the ‘Ville” , and this year the presentation is called…. SOS …Save Our Songs ! A ” glee”ful look at what would happen if they cut funding for a fictitious High School chorus. Featured are songs from Greenday, Cyndi Lauper,The Who, Weezer, and even Michael Jackson. It’s a one act show that lasts about one hour. The show features 17 local kids helped by 3 recreation youth workers, the director Jimmy Del Ponte and assistant director Sophia Carafotes.
The show is one night only , Thursday August 12th at 7 pm in the West Somerville Neighborhood School cafetorium. Admission is free.
