Thurs. July 15 6:00 PM
Somerville City Hall

Somerville MA (map)
Agenda not available (7/5/10)
This is the regular meeting of the Somerville Planning Board. The Planning Board holds public hearings and grants permits for special districts, such as Planned Unit Developments. At this meeting, the Planning Board is scheduled to hear testimony on the Ocean State Job Lots special permit (a Large Format Retail use at 299 Broadway) and may address the 1 Benton Road special permit.
This meeting is important because it deals with ongoing and sometimes controversial Somerville developments.
For background on these cases, see:

I queried Rob May of OSPCD today about the recent dearth of Planning Board agendas/minutes. Rob May passed my query on to his staff, and this afternoon I received the following response from Christopher Dilorio, Senior Planner, OSPCD:

Hi David: The city is in the process of changing the website and we have been running into problems posting any new materials to the existing site. We are working on this and will hopefully be able to post agendas and project reports again soon. Agendas are posted on the first floor of city hall two days before the meeting date. You can email dpereira@somervillema.gov and request a pdf version be emailed to you on the Tuesday before scheduled meetings. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I thanked Chris for his prompt reply and said I will ask Tuesday for the agenda for a Thursday meeting.
