Somerville, MA May 3rd 2010 – Somerville “mompreneur” Kerri Friedlander and husband Lucas today announced their intention to hold a Grand Opening sale at the Upland Road location of “TwinkleStar Boutique” in Porter Square on May 8th, 2010.
The couple originally established retail presence in Ball Square Somerville but took a chance to co-locate with a friend who needed photo studio space in Cambridge. TwinkleStar moved into the new space in November, during the worst recession in 60 years. They also moved into the space the same week that their 3rd child, Ella, was born.
Today the space is up and running, business is brisk and the Friedlanders are eager to celebrate. Said Kerri of the experience “We feel like such a part of the community here. We really couldn’t have made the move and got going without the love and support of so many neighbors, friends, and customers”.
The May 8th celebration will feature free Art activities for Kids, a giveaway from local vendor “Go Gaga”, demonstrations of baby food cookers + free food for infants, and an instructional session on the latest in stroller technology.
