You’re invited to Sarah Palin’s tea party in Boston 4/14
Soooo, guess who is coming to YOUR town to claim the Boston Tea Party as the Tea Party Terrorists own? Yes, it’s Caribou Barbie, former VP candidate and faux patriot, busy yelling “Fire!” in the crowded theater of public discourse (complete with cross-hairs, I might add). It seems April 15, according to many Tea Party Terrorist websites, is Tea Party Tax Day (or is it Ten Kinds of Crazy Day?) and Palin’s appearance in Boston is on the last leg of some sort of terrorists’ bus tour. Well, she doesn’t scare this citizen and I doubt she scares you, dear reader, but her sojourn into the birthplace of this here nation sure calls for a strong non-violent response.
We’ve all read and heard the various reports in the past few days about incidents of violence aimed at health reform advocates, from bricks through windows, to death threats, to mysterious white powder in the mail. I don’t recall progressives acting in this manner after losing vote after vote during the Bush era. What is wrong with these people? Nothing perhaps that a few months or years in jail might cure. In any case, responding in a like manner would only encourage the Tea Party Terrorists. Better we should respond as some of our forebearers did during the real Boston Tea Party: with theater!
Watch for more on this here at Open Media and elsewhere, and please be sure to talk it up with your family and friends in Massachusetts. It’s important that, dare I say, outsiders don’t get away with coming into the Commonwealth and misappropriating our history and culture. Remember to mark your calendars for April 14, 11AM (place TBA): Tea Party Terrorists Day in Boston!
loading…

Feed them attention? Make a nice big crowd that’ll look nice on TV? Get pulled into a melee by some agent-provocateur? I think I’ll wash my hair or something instead.
Honestly, if you have a concrete plan – something organized and visible, with cohesive costuming and a plan – that could be constructive. But just showing up en masse is doing exactly what they want us to. What precisely is the plan?
loading...
I agree, Columbine.
loading...
Your language sounds exactly like that of the neocon, just on the other side of the spectrum. Also your derogatory rhetoric beats even what Glenn Beck spits out.
loading...
I’m especially wary of tribalscribal’s insinuation that self-identifying Tea Party activists are the same ones making and acting on violent threats to supporters of the health care law.
It’s my impression that the Tea Party activists are largely fiscal conservatives and anarchists, brain-washed by right-wing pundits on Faux News. To that extent, they are not acting in the same vein as the original Tea Partiers who were protesting taxation without representation. But, to label them as terrorists seems extreme and counter-productive. I wish this post contained some substantive arguments about something, instead of doing little more than calling Sarah Palin names.
I fail to see what the author thinks he’ll accomplish with his protest theatrics.
loading...
Faux news. Seems to me the lame stream media pretends to deliver the news. Truth be told. Too bad there are those on the left that claim to be open minded when and then try to silence decent.
You gotta love progressives they don’t know the history of nanny states but can’t wait to have the masses depending on them. Mostly becuase they are using other peoples money.
And what happened to NO NEW TAXES? Now they are pushing for a value added tax.. now who will have to pay that?
loading...
Palin is going to whip the one-term wonder – Obama in 2012. Trust me.

I can’t wait attend this event.
loading...
OK, the location for the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party has been announced. it is: Boston Commons (Parkman Bandstand) Park/Boylston. Just yards away from the graves of real patriots who will assuredly be rolling in them!
loading...
thank you tribalscribal for the location, I have been searching for a definitive answer for a week now. Now I can tell my friends and hopefully get some time off of work to attend this event! It will be my first tea-party!
loading...
For me seeing Sarah Palin in Boston on 04/14/10 is akin to a spiritual journey. I have taken the day off from work and am planning to drive 1 hour to Boston at 5am. As I see hundreds cheering Tiger Woods(15 mistresses and counting) at the Masters, I respect and admire Sarah Palin for her tenacity, honesty and family values. She gives voice to Americans who feel government has run them over rather than helped them out. I can’t wait until 04/14!! I think Sarah Palin is a wonderful human being and a fantastic leader.
loading...
Family values? Are you kidding?
loading...
Yes, family values. Surrounding your pregnant teenager with love and support and welcoming your unexpected grandchild into the world has got to be one of the finest examples of family values I’ve ever heard of. Not to mention the fact that Sarah Palin had just given birth to her own child, as well. The last thing she probably wanted was another child. This family epitomizes love, loyalty and commitment to each other. Are YOU kidding?
loading...
O right, family values like using cross hairs on her Facebook page to identify politicians who need to be “taken out” and taking every opportunity to create hostility rather than civility. Get real. The woman is yelling fire in the theater of public discourse. Is this the kind of behavior you’d encourage in YOUR family?
loading...
I love this. Oh the cross hairs, she is inciting violence! Give me a break!
loading...
You mean the family values like abstinence she tried forcing on other families but her own? She is a hypocrit and a quitter. She couldn’t finish out the term the citizens of Alaska elected her for. She truly is the most unintelligent person I have ever seen. It is actually very scary that she has so many “followers” -which makes me wonder how intelligent they are.
loading...
So like a koolaide drinker. Question the intelligence of anyone that diagrees with you. You make me laugh with your pro baby killing agenda. Anyone that doesn’t agree with you isn’t met with an intelligent debate but you belittle the opposition and that to me shows how smart and brainwashed you are.
loading...
And how do you know that her daughter was surrounded by love when she announced she was pregnant? Do you live in the house? And from what I see, it looks like Sarah is far from Alaska most of the time.
loading...
Did you ever do something your mother told you not to do? The fact that Sarah Palin’s daughter became an unwed mother is not an indicator of values taught in the home. It is, however, an indicator of the daughter’s confidence in her family’s unconditional love. I would imagine that sparks did fly in the household, for sure. Any parent would go balistic upon the news of a teen pregnancy. But the daughter was not abandoned, thrown out of the house, put on welfare and given a housing subsidy somewhere. I believe the family is taking care of their own, as all good families do.
loading...
People who do not like Sarah Palin’s message perceive her as creating hostility (and use every opportunity to twist her words and actions as such). She is merely exercising her right to free speech. This is a good thing. My teenage daughters will be alongside me at the Tea Party next week holding their “Don’t tread on my future” signs. And neither of them are pregnant.
loading...
Nellie, of course I did things my mother told me not to do. But I also understood the ramifications of my actions. I wanted to live my own life and not have to be a mom as a teenager. I graduated high school, went to college and law school before I decided to get married. As a women in her late 30′s and a mom to two little boys, I know I made the right decisions in my life and I can raise my children right. From what the public sees, the daughter gets plenty of child support but does not allow the father access to the baby. Is that right? Is that a family value? Maybe Bristol going on TV and NOW proclaiming she will be abstinent until she gets married is a good thing. Right…
And, by the way, those of us who are “non-believers” in Sarah need not twist her words or actions. All she has to do is open her mouth and it happens automatically. Good luck with the tea party parade of fools.
loading...
This “parade of fools” is standing up for your rights as well, Janine. As a lawyer, you are in that income bracket that will be directly affected by the waves of Obama’s socialism tide. Best of luck to you as the government tries to multiply it’s wealth, by dividing yours.
loading...
I doubt that the Lawyer is working. She is probably living off the child support she is getting.
loading...
Mensamania- I don’t need to justify my choice to be a stay at home mom to you. I am fortunate to have a family, a home we own and a husband who likes that I am home with our sons. Your thoughts are completely incoherent – similar to most of your tea party friends. My field will always be in need to lawyers and can always go back – as I do from time to time – to work. But at this point, I choose to be with my sons. Maybe you should go back to work now and stop wasting time online.
loading...
Nellie, please don’t make assumptions about my income bracket. I am currently a stay at home mom. And, unlike others, I am OK paying for more to help those with less out. I grew up near section 8 housing in PA with my mom and brother and saw many people with far less that I had. And, they, the tea party, are not fighting for my rights. They are far from it.
loading...
Well than, since you feel so strong about giving back to the poor, why dont you get a job like my wife has to and pay your fair share to them, like the rest of us dual parent households in the USA.
loading...
Because, Steven, the cost of sending a toddler and an infant to daycare outweighed the salary at my job. And, my husband has a job which allows me to stay at home. I also wanted to see my children grow up. I can always go back to work when my sons are in school. We pay our fair share in taxes (as seen this tax year) and are fine with it. You are truly ignorant and obnoxious making a comment like this without knowing the reasoning why I chose to stay at home.
loading...
The bright side is way you lefties keep wanting to hand out money, you will have more and more company to hang around with during the day. While your husband, my wife and I work to pay the taxes for the lazy people out there.
loading...
You don’t even see how hypocritical your state
“You are truly ignorant and obnoxious making a comment like this without knowing the reasoning why I chose to stay at home.
UN:F [1.8.4_1055]” is your whole thread is making assumptions about the intelligence of other people that YOU DON”T KNOW.
you make me laugh so predictable
I say Tort reform so when you get back to work maybe you truly will pay your fair share. Every lawyer I have known has been a theif and you seem to fit the mold I should have figured you would be a lawyer. haha
loading...
yea they aren’t fighting for your rights. They are fighting for their rights. the right to keep the money they earn. The right to keep the tax man from bankrupting them.
So you are right you are afraid that you r government check is going to diappear. You should worry because this health care theft is going to cost millions their jobs and may in fact bankrupt the entire system. Even China doesn’t want our debt. Economist there are tell the US not to go through with this idiotic power grab.
As for me. I pay my own way and apparently yours too.
loading...
So, then we peacefully agree to disagree. All the best to you, truly. P.S. I’m a stay at home Mom, too
loading...
Exactly. Same to you.
loading...
Again Steven, you really should know what happens when you assume. Obviously, in your case, it is true.
loading...
I assumed two things, that you are a lefty and assumed your husband pays taxes. Where was I wrong?
loading...
I love it. She was more qualified to be president that Obama. But then again anyone was.
loading...
Sarah is our Joan of Arc. She will save us from the destruction the Kenyan is doing.
loading...
I’m not so sure I would go that far, but she’s a step up or two from where we are now.
loading...
One thing we should all watch for in the run-up to Sarah Palin’s arrival (which, like that of Stavrogin in Dostoevsky’s The Possessed, is long anticipated), is the use of the following rhetorical trick: Accusing progressives of doing something that conservatives do routinely. For instance, conservatives label people routinely, but when someone like Rachel Maddow labels someone like Timothy McVeigh a terrorist, it’s just terrible, a sovereign citizen like him.
The problem progressives have is that they internalize notions of social justice. Conservatives, however, internalize the mind set of the warrior. To a warrior, mercy and fairness are signs of weakness. It follows that accusing progressives of being unfair works for conservatives because it causes progressives to pause and do soul-searching. The fact that it’s hypocritical doesn’t matter as long as it works. “All’s fair in love and war”.
loading...
What’s really hypocritical is when the beliefs/ policies of a “liberal” become so distasteful to the majority of Americans that they have to change their name to “progressive”. That speaks volumes. Conservatives are conservatives are conservatives. We don’t have to change our name. We are proud of what we stand for. In 2 years, what will be the new name of the “progressive” when Americans turn on that mantra? Socialist, communist and marxist are already taken, so they’ll have to come up with a new name………
loading...
Is there a reason the Tea Party’s new patron saint, Scott Brown, keeps distancing himself from the people who claimed to have elected him?
loading...
Conservatives are always models of consistency. Witness the recent healthcare debate, in which howls of “Socialism!” were followed without pause by howls of “Don’t touch my Medicare!” Tea-party types seem to think that it is intrinsically significant that they are angry, even if they are completely incoherent.
loading...
Don’t you love when someone automatically think that all tea party members are on medicare.
And yes we are mad and we aren’t going to take it anymore.
loading...
If by “not taking it anymore,” you mean you’re going to vote for Sarah Palin in 2012, I’m fine with that.
loading...
Progressives, in your opinions, does the government ever tax too much? Is there such a thing in your world as too much tax being levied on private citizens and too much government? You do realize that we’re now at 50% of the population paying no federal income tax. None. Zero. The big goose egg.
That means the burden falls more heavily on those of us who do produce. At some point the rest of us will stop producing too. Why shouldn’t we? We’re just getting tired of carrying you liberals. Then what?
We know you all take, take, take according to your needs, but when will you contributing according to your abilities? When is enough… enough for you folks?
“….from each according to his ability, to each according to his need …” – Obama is trying to ram this down our throats, but as a Tea Partier, I say “Thanks, but no thanks! Don’t tread on me!”
Go Sarah Palin! Go Paul Ryan!
loading...
Francisco, you need to learn to make a distinction between those who don’t work and those who work hard and get paid very little for it. The flow of federal funds goes disproportionately to red states, so let me say that I’m tired of supporting you lazy conservatives.
loading...
Tea Party people are working people,I will be there with them from New Hampshire
loading...
Listen Tea Partiers or Baggers or whatever you want to call yourselves, I am a democrat first and foremost. My husband and I paid our taxes and had to pay several thousands more this year since we moved into a new tax bracket. We paid it and did not complain about it. I know that there are people out there scamming the system but I am not one of them. I know the money gets used for programs I did not want but it also gets used for programs I believe in. I want to believe I am helping others with funding programs and acting like a true Christian. Stop bitching about it because at some point you will be on Medicare or some other federal program and using this money too!
Oh, and by the way, glad so many of you are taking a day out of work to hang out in Boston. I hope you are using a personal day too!
loading...
Miss Janine, that is wonderful that YOU are happy to pay excessive taxes, but with all due respect, please have your husband answer this question. He’s the one actually working and HE shares the common burden working people do. You know…. actually working.
If you really believe in certain programs then you shoud voluntarily donate time and money to those programs. Maybe through your church. The rest of us know how inefficient and corrupt this current administration is and choose to voice our displeasure and discontent. Obama, Pelois and Reid have not yet outlawed the 1st ammendment, so we still have those rights (along with the 2nd and a few other cherished rights).
loading...
Dear Francisco – I worked until November 21, 2009 when I had my second son so I can speak for both my husband and me regarding taxes. I gave up working full time to care for my children. I still work from home so please don’t feel that I am a drain on “your society.”
I do donate my time and energy to my church, St. Paul’s in Harvard Square – through ESL classes, food pantry, homeless lunches, religious education classes for children, etc. I am sure rest of you “Tea Party” people do nothing except complain about Obama.
loading...
And Francisco, It is Mrs., not Miss.
loading...
Mrs. Janine, I applaud your as a stay at home. Please make no mistake about that. More women ought to do it as I believe it fosters a more normal upbringing.
As an ex-avid Obama supporter; the bitter disappointment (so much promise!) of his administration hits extra hard. That is why we need to back someone like Sarah Palin — someone who is articulate and proud to stand up for the average worker. I thought that was Obama – I was wrong. But I do a lot more than complain — I go to Tea Parties. You should too.
loading...
No thank you. I see Sarah Palin for the fraud she is and want nothing to do with her. How does she represent the “common man” when she makes millions now for speeches and TV appearances?
loading...
Come on Janine you should love her. Just think while your at home not contributing any taxes, she out there making millions. Imagine the tax money that’s coming from here salary to pay entitlements. I would have thought the lefties would be drooling at this.
loading...
Sorry that should have said “her” not “here”
loading...
Steven, I wasn’t going to bother responding to your comments until I read your comment about me sitting home not contributing towards taxes. What, being a stay at home mom means nothing anymore? And, by the way, I do work – it is at home and it is part time.
loading...
Also, Steven, it sounds like you might be jealous since I have the ability to be a stay at home mom and your wife has to work. I chose to go to college, law school, marry a successful scientist, and have a family. Fortunately, we have the ability to live on one income. Not everyone does and obviously you have a problem with those of us who do.
loading...
The only problem I have is people that want to keep giving the government more and more money.
loading...
Mrs. Janine, truly inspiring and highly recommended reading. After reading this, I trust you too will be lauding Sarah Palin.
http://www.amazon.com/Going-Rogue-American-Sarah-Palin/dp/0061939897/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1271120150&sr=8-1
loading...
Thanks, but I will never read the book nor support anything she does.
loading...
Hey Kids,
Want to protest the tea Party in a non-violet way? Follow this link:
http://www.bluemassgroup.com/diary/19470/we-have-a-simple-plan-to-counter-protest-sarah-palin
loading...
First its violent, not violet. A violet is a plant or color! But let me ask you this, how many have protested in violent ways that makes you need to suggest to us that we need help in protesting in a non “violent” way. lol
loading...
Thank you for correcting my spelling. You’d think I was a teabagger or something. I think you could make a case for violet if it was violent. Bruises sometimes turn that color. It happened to me once.
loading...
This whole thread reminds me of a course I took once in public speaking, including some really good tips for dealing with hecklers. The idea was to restate what the heckler was saying, and the emotion behind it, until the heckler nodded (indicating you got his meaning). Then you composed your answer and addressed it TO THE REST OF THE AUDIENCE.
The bottom line being, never argue with a heckler. Doing so achieves his purpose, which is to distract you from getting your own message out.
loading...
Since I’m probably considered the “heckler”, I agree. Getting a rise out of some people is just way to much fun.
loading...
Hey Stevie,
SSDI is a government program. They probably don’t tell you that at the group home.
loading...
Cool a person that wants to play. Unfortunately for you I’m not as easily baited as some.
loading...
Sorry Stevie,
I’m off to see the Queen of the Morons. Take your meds and I’ll be home soon. Try not to hurt yourself playing with Legos as you build your monument to Glenn Beck.
loading...
Cool you’ve seen my Lego set!!!! Now your name comes to mind, you where the guy that changes the sheets when I have a little accidents at the home.
By the way its not a monument, its a shrine. Please get it right. You lefties are so easily played with.
loading...
Turned out to be a nice day. No real controversy for the left to spew about today.
Today I start painting up my Sara for President signs, getting ready to vote out the current Messiah!
loading...
You’re right. It was a nice day, I had a blast. Please help Sarah Palin get nominated, please. Maybe you could get the other somewhat hot repub whack job Michelle Bachmann and run a Twisted Sister ticket.
loading...
Na, she’s not going to be a contender. She talks to honestly. Most moron Americans want to be lied to and then screwed. I cant seem figure it out. But with the way your guy is working out in there presently, we could probably put a moron like Pat Buchanan in there. Hope & Change!
loading...
What exactly does Sarah talk honestly about? To me, she is a quitter since she left her state high and dry half way through her first term. She left the people who voted her into office. If I were her, I would stay clear of politics and keep accepting the millions these morons are paying her to be on her poorly rated TV show and various speaking engagements. He 15 minutes is almost up.
loading...
Janine you sound a tad jealous. Is it her looks or the large bank roll she has now?
It kills me how the left keeps saying how useless this women is, but can’t seem to stop talking her down at every chance they get.
loading...
Steven, how can I be jealous of someone who is far dumber than me? Remember, I am the one who gave up working full time to be with me kids.
loading...
No real crowd of “tens of thousands” either i gather. Tooooo bad! Another load of tea bag hype down the memory hole.
loading...
Thats because a large percentage on the right has to work to pay for the left to sit home. I’m sure if there was a government handout going on down there, the place would have been wall to wall lefties.
loading...
Conservatives clearly imagine that they work harder and pay more taxes than others, and it is equally clear that this is delusional. However, I have a similar reaction when I hear about the large numbers of people who watch FoxTV: where do these people get all this time to watch television? Don’t any of them have jobs?
loading...
Ever hear of Prime time tv? The majority of the country still works days. But if its up to you, I’m sure you would want the working population to work 2 jobs, to pay for other people to sit on their butts 24/7.
loading...
Who exactly are these people that you imagine sit around on their butts 24/7, at your expense? And who do you imagine the working population is?
loading...
This Sunday Fox news is going to air a very important documentary about Barack Obama, Sunday night at 9 P M Eastern. The report will go back to Obama’s earlier days, showing even then his close ties to radical Marxist professors, friends, spiritual advisers, etc. It will also reveal details about his ties to Rev. Wright for 20+ years, i.e., how he was participating with this man, and not for the reasons he stated.
The report has uncovered more of Obama’s radical past and we will see things that no one in the media is willing to put out there. It will be a segment to remember.
Mark your calendar and pass this on to everyone you know: Sunday night, 8 PM CT; 9 PM ET. Democrat or Republican, this report will open your eyes to how YOUR country is being
sold down the road to Totalitarian Socialism. If you care about the direction of our country, pass this notice on to everyone you know.
Let the impeachment begin!
loading...
Thanks for the info. Surly you don’t think that any of his past life experiences weight on what he is doing as president. “sarcasm”
loading...
So Fox News, who couldn’t tell the truth about anything (Is Obama A Muslim? A communist? The Anti-Christ?)is doing an expose of President Obama? Jesus Christ. Should be a hoot, if you like freak shows.
loading...
I thought he was all of the above? What am I missing?
loading...
Fox News – a channel not known for reporting the truth. Your boy Sean Hannity got yelled at by Murdoch for running to the Tea Party gathering in Cincinnati with first checking with the boss.
loading...
