DPW has 2 entrances, the front and side, and neither entrance is street level. Once inside, no elevator. No signage. No care.
So, you need not be a Somerville resident- but ya better be able-bodied if you want to fulfill this licensing requirement in Somerville!

Hello,
In response to Eila: The Rabies Clinic will be held in the Somerville DPW yard in the Highway garage. The highway garage is located on ground level therefore you will not encounter any stairs to get to this event.
That being said, Dog Licenses are regularly obtained at City Hall, which is accessable.
Please let me know if you require any assistance when you arrive at the DPW yard and we will do our best to assist.
Thank you,
April Terrio

Hi April,
I was going to email you, but since the barriers at DPW are not in your hands to fix quick, I did not want to bother you so close to this event.
S’wonderful to hear of your thoughtful design for this temporary event!
Regarding folks with Service Animals … will there be on-site Braille information and signage?
Thanks for your response!

I’m going to ask silly question here, but since this is not a regular event, wouldn’t a blind person not know where the signage is in the first place and have to ask someone where the braille signage is (which I’m assuming most people wouldn’t know). And if so, wouldn’t it be just easier to ask – where so and so is?

Yeah, that’s not a silly question at all, Knut- It’s a thoughtful question! Without taking a look at the site, it’s hard to tell if this is an idea that can be practicable. But, if there’s signage for this event within the pathway designated for the general public’s participation, Braille signage would belong there, too.

There will, in fact, be someone walking back & forth between the DPW enterance and the garage where the event takes place. This person is usually me. That way if anyone is unable to locate the garage, I can direct them where to go.
Eila, I thank you for advocating for disabled people. I have been a PCA for 12 years so I am familiar with the chanllanges faced by disabled people in a sometimes not-so-accessable world.
Thank you,
