On Friday, January 22, 2010, from 5:30-8:30 pm, The Haitian Coalition will host a large community meeting at the Healey Elementary School (in the cafeteria), 5 Meacham Street, Somerville.  The goal of this meeting is to provide accurate information about Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which was granted last Friday to Haitians living in the United States in response to last week’s earthquake.

The Haitian Coalition wants to ensure that those who are eligible for this protected status understand: (1) what the TPS designation means (2) the process and time frame for applying.  Attorneys Harvey Bazile , Jacques Dessin and other attorneys will be available to answer any and all questions.  All are welcome!  For more information, please call the Haitian Coalition at 617-625-6400.
