Saturday October 24, 3:00-5:50 PM Somerville Climate Action has joined with 350.org, Greenpeace, Mass Council of Churches and others to create the Boston Under Water Festival. The bicyclists among us may participate in Somerville’s contingent of the ’350 Bike Ride’ organized by Somerville Climate Action, one of 60 local chapters of Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN). The ride will depart from Prospect Hill Park (for schedule go to:http://www.bostonunderwater.org) and arrive at em> Christopher Columbus Park on Boston’s waterfront for the start of Boston’s spirited enactment of local consequences of unabated climate change:

  • Build sandbag flood barrier
  • Beach & water games
  • Participatory climate theater
  • Educational Flooding Station, etc.
Participants are asked to dress in blue and wear snorkeling gear for a large group photo at 3:50 PM.
