But if you don't know Stan you can't even guess what a saint she must be! And probably at least a little blind.

Oh, Barry! Clearly you've never met Stan Koty, nor his wife (head of nursing for the schools, without a nursing degree), nor his son (head of the famous tickets for garbage), nor his "best friend" (head of HR and notorious for her distinctive pattern of authorizing accessibility ramps). And you may not go back to the days when Stan was Senator Shannon's chief, and when he began on the School Committee, or was on the Board of Aldermen and a very good friend of Dot Gay (until he changed his mind around the time that everybody else did as well).

None of that is secret. All of THAT is well known. There MUST be some dirt somewhere, since the obvious stuff sure smells funny.

Xumi, in order to write a muck-raking article, you first need some muck or at least a mole or a leak. If you have any inside information, please share it with us.

Not only the "garbage" fines, but all the fees/fines.

Barry, what are the chances someone can research an article/write an online article on the corruption and BS that is going on the DPW, water department, etc... and blow the lid of this once and for all? Maybe some intern and then we can scoot him/her out of town before they get busted on some trumped up charges.

Ain't like the Journal would be able to do it or the News willing. Somerville Voices can/should become the leading investigative reporting outlet in the city.

It would be good to get an ETA on the online appeals implementation. Also, I hope you or someone else is able to attend the BOA meeting to hear the back-and-forth with OSPCD.

Isn't that the inspector who is Stan Koty's son? Not to be too picky, but patronage has its limits - when there are complaints and they tend to revolve around one figure - like Stan - in garbage, in parking regulation, and in crosswalks - one might think the BOA might be more interested than a bland report. Sounds like other elected bodies would convene a hearing!
