I’m writing an article about bullying in Somerville for the Somerville News.  I’d like to know from parents and kids if they feel it is a problem, or if parents or children feel bullying is not a problem.

Is bullying a problem in Somerville?
What advice do you give your child if he/she is bullyed in school?
What do you do if your child is a bully and how do you stop it?

I am looking for parents in Somerville to share their opinions, feedback or experiences about bullying in Somerville to be used in my article.  Advice, and comments about how to prevent bullying, and how to help children who deal with bullying at school and in the community.

Join the community discussion on Thursday August 27 from 6 to 7pm

  1. Susan Hall says:

I have a friend whose 4th grade son is being bullied in the Somerville public schools. I am trying to advise her on how to most effectively raise this issue with the Principal. Do you have any advice? Is there any report that has come out from SCAP?

I look forward to hearing from you.

  2. Bullies are usually psychological wrecks, who face some sort of threat perception. It can only be curbed through counseling.
