TOURING CIRCUS PERFORMANCE BENEFITS LOCAL YOUTH

The renowned Extraterrestrial Circus Experiment will perform their unique and astonishing show, “People” for one night only on Friday, July 10 at 7 pm. The show, at the Armory Center for the Arts, 191 Highland Ave. in Somerville, will benefit the OPENAIR Circus.

Please consider coming in a green fashion (public transportation, walking, biking, skating, etc.). If you come by car, please remember to park in the lot behind the Armory to try to avoid street parking congestion.

The OPENAIR Circus is in its 24rd year of serving Somerville and surrounding communities. A non-profit, volunteer-run organization, the OPENAIR Circus Circus builds self-esteem, leadership skills and an appreciation for the arts among youth from Somerville and surrounding communities.

The ExtraTerrestrial Circus Experiment are artists in residence again this year, teaching many of the Circus’ classes, and graciously donating this benefit performance, taking a break from their busy east coast tour.

This year’s residency includes an intensive teen leadership program partially funded by the Somerville Health Alliance, the Somerville Arts Council, and the Edith Johnston Memorial Trust Fund of Circus Fans of America.
