There’ll be a memorial celebration of David Omar White next Sunday, July 12, 6:30 to 9:00 at the Royal East Restaurant on Main Street in Cambridge. It will be a Chinese buffet with cash bar and open mike. For more information, call Sally Williamson at 617-497-4186. Some of Omar’s paintings will be on display.
Omar was a famed cartoonist, in the 70′s for the Phoenix and the TAB (you may remember his White Rabbit), recently for the Somerville Journal. He was also a well-known painter, and was active in the Affordable Housing Organizing Committee.
