The Mayor’s Office of Strategic Planning and Community Development will host an open house to discuss all of the current and planned economic development projects in Somerville. The open house, dubbed “SomerVision” will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Argenziano School, at 290 Washington Street. They will have 14 tables of information on citywide topics, such as long range planning, the Green Line extension, the Orange Line stop, the Urban Ring, the Community Path extension, and the Census 2010, and topics for specific neighborhoods, including East Somerville, Inner Belt, Brickbottom, Union Square, Davis Square, Teele Square, Porter Square, Somerville Avenue, and Beacon Street. Mayor Curtatone will be speaking during the event so people can hear more about his ideas and vision first hand. Also, other community organizations will be participating. Contact Keith Craig for more information. (617) 625-6600 x2500, kcraig(at)somervillema.gov.
