NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING
CAMBRIDGE HEALTH ALLIANCE – SOMERVILLE HOSPITAL
INPATIENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE SERVICES
On March 18, 2009, the Department of Public Health received
notification from Marlborough Hospital of their intent to discontinue
providing Inpatient Substance Abuse Services provided at 230 Highland
Avenue, Somerville, MA 02143.
Pursuant to 105 CMR 130.122(E), notice is hereby given that the
Massachusetts Department of Public Health will conduct a hearing on
the proposed changes at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 in the
Cafeteria, Somerville Hospital, 230 Highland Avenue, Somerville, MA
02143.
UPDATE, 4/10/09: The hearing will now be held at the same date and time in the Macht Auditorium, Macht Building, 1493 Cambridge St., Cambridge, MA 02139
Such hearing shall not be adjudicatory but shall be in the nature of a public forum for the presentation of any comments, which may be relevant to considerations by the Department regarding the proposed changes.
Written comments concerning this matter will be accepted by the Department of Public Health, Division of Health Care Quality, Attn: Ray Cryan, 2nd Floor, 99 Chauncy Street, Boston, MA 02111 for a period of ten (10) days following this publication.
The architectural accessibility of the Macht Auditorium and the Macht Building is presumed; updates will be posted if more information becomes available.
