  1. Hi SFS! Welcome to Somerville Voices! What inspired you to review local eateries?

I’m curious why you chose to start your own blog instead of using an already-popular site like Yelp.com?

Also, any reason why comments are disabled on your blog?

  2. SFS says:

Thanks! I’ve been studying food for several years, and I am a big fan of the particular mix of cuisines in our city. My hope is to celebrate Somerville – I think Somerville’s ripe for discovery as a food scene (particularly some of our Brazilian and Salvadoran spots).

I admire some of the food sites like Chowhound, but wanted to focus narrowly on our special 4.1 square miles and our 37K households. Also, SFS is professionally edited and has a dedicated trial-heat crew.

And unless I’ve mucked it up, comments are enabled (though moderated). Let me know if you’re unable to submit a comment after a little poking around.
