Registration has opened for the 2009 Somerville Open Studios.  This year the event will be on May 2 and 3 from noon to 6:00pm.  Registration for participating artists is only open until January 30. You can register here: http://2009.somervilleopenstudios.org/membership/

Putting together the SOS maps is a huge task taken on every year by a small group of unpaid volunteers.  If you’re one of the artists who benefit from their work, you can help out by registering early, rather than leaving it until two days before registration closes as many of us have been known to do.  (Okay, I plead guilty.  This year, though, I’m going to do it right away.)
