Whither Somerville Avenue?

Has anyone heard when Somerville Avenue, affectionately known to neighbors as The Little Dig, is supposed to be finished? It seems to be a really big job so I’m not complaining, but it would be good to know.

    According to Somerville DPW Commissioner Stan Koty in today’s city press release SOMERVILLE AVE PROJECT 75% COMPLETE AND SIX MONTHS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE :

    “Even though we are running ahead of schedule now, there are still too many variables for us to put a firm end-date on the project,” said Koty. “But my discussions with the contractor and Mass Highway give me some confidence that the work should be substantially complete by late 2009. That’s a real improvement on our original estimate of mid-2010.”
