Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and Somerville Youth Soccer League invite all to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new James McCarthy Field located at the Michael E. Capuano Early Childhood Center on 150 Glenn Street / Wednesday September 24th from 3:30-4:30pm.

The ceremony will include a brief speaking agenda, ribbon cutting, and special guest New England Revolution goalkeeper, Matt Reis! Matt will be signing autographs and kids will have an opportunity to score goals on what many consider the top goalkeeper in the league! There will also be signed giveaways!

The new park includes a large turf area that is used by all in-town and travel soccer leagues as well as the new home of Somerville’s Top Soccer Program, beginning Sept. 28th!

The Mayor and the Somerville Youth Soccer League look forward to seeing you all there.

Best,

John Teves – SYSL Board
