REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING INPUT

UNTIL AUGUST 5, 2008:

The Boston Region MPO will hold two Open House sessions on July 30, 2008 from 12:30 pm - 2 p.m.

and from 5:30 pm - 7 pm

AT: Suite 2150, State Transportation Building

10 Park Plaza, Boston, MA 02116

This is a public invitation to allow folks to learn more about, and comment on, the following MPO activities:

1. Draft Federal Fiscal Year 09 Unfied Planning Work Program

Draft Federal Fiscal Year 2009 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). (PDF)
The UPWP is an annual document presenting all of the transportation planning projects expected to be undertaken in the region during the fiscal year. It also provides detailed budget information about those projects that will be carried out by the Boston Region MPO. The public review process for this document begins on July 7, 2008 and ends on August 5, 2008.

Copies of the Draft FY 2009 UPWP (PDF) can be requested online free of charge, in CD, print, or accessible formats. WHAT IS THE BOSTON MPO and HOW IS SOMERVILLE CONNECTED?:

The Boston Metropolitan Planning Organization is one of the 13 Massachusetts regions established to carry out federally funded transportation plans and programs. Somerville is an MPO member and considered part of the Inner Core.

The Inner Core is: The traditional center of the Boston metropolitan area, comprising Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Somerville, Chelsea, Everett, Revere, and Winthrop.
