From the website of Ryle’s Jazz Club in Inman Square:

Conguero Vicente Lebron has been a cornerstone of the Latin and jazz scenes in Boston for over 30 years. He is currently being held in a Homeland Security prison and threatened with deportation.

Please join many of Vicente’s friends and colleagues for a night of music to raise funds to help with his legal defense and expenses. The lineup is evolving as we speak, but will include many great Latin, jazz and rock musicians, reflecting the breadth of Vicente’s influence and presence in the music community. There will be set bands and impromptu combinations; there are likely to be combinations of players never before seen on stage.

We’re asking $10, but we’ll gladly accept donations of any size.
