Tired of getting ever higher energy bills? There are many ways you can reduce your energy consumption, save money and reduce your impact on the planet. Check out Somerville Climate Action for practical energy saving information and videos. Somerville Climate Action (SCA) is a group of volunteers working to reduce energy use and resulting global warming gases in Somerville homes and businesses.

The SCA website has information about
1) Greening your home: make it energy-efficient, including links to the U.S. EPA’s tips for saving energy in winter
2) Getting a FREE Home Energy Audit (and information about rebates for purchases that increase your energy efficiency)
3) Joining or Starting a Low-Carbon Diet Team
4) Measuring your carbon footprint (and learning how to shrink it!)

The next SCA meeting is Tuesday, July 8th. SCA’s monthly meetings are open to all and are held every second Monday of the month at the offices of Planet-TECH, 240B Elm Street, Somerville, MA 02144. For more information, please email somervilleclimateaction@gmail.com

SCA is a part of the Massachusetts Climate Action Network (http://www.massclimateaction.org/), which is working to promote progressive climate policy at the state level.
