On Friday, June 6, 2008, the Union Square Citizen’s Bank began breaking up the large platform front step that has been dividing this Bank and its services from people with mobility impairments.
Barack Obama won the nomination in 16 months.
This access project for just one public accommodation has taken over 18 months already-
But it’s all good, eh?!….

UPDATE: As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008, this Bank has a One-Door-Fits-All Entrance!!!
And-heh- there’s still a little tweak they have to make, so that after-hours, everyone can buzz themselves in. In the meantime, they’re keeping the door to the foyer open so it won’t impede after hours transactions.
I’m sure this problem will be fixed really quickly, since it affects 100% of the customers…
This is a great job and Citizen’s Bank Regional Manager, Roxann Cooke, deserves alot of credit. Alderman Taylor also helped, by putting in an order for DPW to respond to the construction company’s request for the go-ahead (after a time of no-response). And it looks like Santini Corporation (the construction Co.) did a great job also.
