Steve: FreeWatt technology doesn't change your heating fuel. It just gives you some bonus electrical generation while you're heating your house. So cost fluctuations for gas aren't going to make a difference with regard to the advantages or disadvantages of a FreeWatt system. Your second question I'm not sure I understand, but no, there's nothing about FreeWatt that would, even ideally, lead to self-sufficiency. Just efficiency. I am unfamiliar with "nitrogen risks" even as a general concept, so I can't really address your question.

Were the rising cost of gas estimated in the savings estimates? Also is there any work being done to convert the gas to an electric coil or other system to feed itself with the heat needed to be totally self suficient? Also what are the risk associated with nitrogen?

This sounds like a great idea. Right now I walk to my office and barely drive. This coming from a guy who used to drive a hummer and average 45k miles a year. What a difference.

I - for one - am very enthusiastic about any programs by entrepeneurs to boost energy savings and keep the environment clean(er). That's the way we can keep/get our environment clean - free markets, innovation and entrepeneurs. Not the government tossing more regulations/taxes on.
