Thalia Tringo is looking for items for a silent auction at the Somerville Homeless Coalition fundraiser on April 26, 2008. Each auction item will have a value of $250 or higher, but some of them will be combined packages (e.g, a night-out-on-the-town item consisting of a gift certificate for $100 to a Boston restaurant and two theatre/sports tickets with a total value of $250 or more; or a local shopping spree consisting of ten gift certificates for $25). I am especially looking for donations of professional services. In addition to Somerville, the Coalition also serves Arlington, Medford, and Winchester, so people and vendors from those towns may also be interested in donating to the auction.
Really popular items include the following:
-week or weekend at a vacation home;
-gift certificate for hotel stay;
-tickets to sports events, theater, movies, or concerts;
-spa gift certificates;
-restaurant gift certificates;
-bottles of wine; and
-professional services, such as a lawyers’ donation of preparation of a simple will, or a 2-hour consultation with a business coach or a lanscape architect.
If you can make a donation, please call Thalia Tringo (617-513-1967) or email her (tctringo@rcn.com).
If you are able to attend the fundraiser event on April 26th, it should be fun and it’s for a great cause. Tickets are $75 each and the details are as follows:
